'My Tiny Gallery' began life at the kitchen counter one
evening about six years ago, when I picked up a set of
watercolour paints left out by one of my three daughters. I
began experimenting with the medium and loved the way the
colours ran and mixed together. Before I knew it I was
producing little paintings for friends and family, adding in inky
wording and doodles to perfect my own style.
Since then things have really grown and I am now
lucky enough to be painting full time. For me, there is still
nothing that compares to settling down at my drawing table with a
clean sheet of rough grain paper, a jam jar of water and my
battered little tin of paints.
Often working from a client's list of hastily scribbled
notes and the odd photo for inspiration, I aim to create artwork
that is fresh, pretty, full of style and character.. and of course,
a reflection of the recipient or occasion as requested.
Overflowing with detail, my work is a popular choice
for babies and children, but more and more I am asked to paint for
adults and families. I hope my artwork adds a bit of
personality to a decor, and gives a feel good factor to the home
(it is certainly painted with that in mind!).
All my materials are Artist quality, for a rich and fade resistant
finish, and I also frame my own pieces in beautiful, locally made
custom frames. I am always happy to post
out paintings, local customers may wish to collect in
person.
Do get in touch if you'd like to find out more or discuss
your ideas, I am always happy to put my brush down for a chat, but
email enquiries are very welcome too. And if you are local to
Basingstoke, informal appointments are available so why not stop by
for a coffee and a browse from any examples I have to hand?
